Lots of things worry landlords about allowing tenants to take in lodgers:

Other clauses require the tenant to comply with the legislation which allows lodger landlords to evict lodgers easily, deal with Council tax requirements plus there is a space for you to add any extra clauses you wish to include.

You will want your tenant to use a proper lodger form so the best way to ensure this is to provide one!

For lodgers on benefit – the Benefit Office will tell you nothing unless you can show them a letter like this signed by the lodger
